Hands & mind

Analyzing how structures, limitations, systems affect my body, consciousness, choices, I began to look for what would provide freedom, peace, and unpretentious fascination. This is how I discovered ceramics, a craft that puts the analytical mind aside and invites me to an intuitive and phenomenological experience of clay. Working with clay allows me to observe the thoughts and feelings that arise in my own body that I had not experienced before. It’s like experiencing a strong relationship with self through a relationship with other.

After a long time of not admitting one thing to myself, pottery allowed me to do it - my works can be very much about me. With various forms, inaccuracies, and flaws, accepting them as beautiful idiosyncrasies makes each piece unique.
